Structured wiring is the core to the future of using technology
in your home. It will allow you to distribute audio, video,
telephone and to network computers. Take your DVD output and
send it all over the house. Take the CD player output to the
Master Bedroom, and the DirecTV Music to the kitchen. Watch a
camera in the baby's room on an unused TV Channel. There are
many options, we can help you decide on solutions to fit your needs.

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and
Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) has created a standard for
residential telecommunications cabling. It is know as TIA/EIA 570-A Residential
Telecommunications Cabling Standard standard .
The standard calls for Cat5 (Cat 5e recommended) and RG-6 (quad-shield
recommended). The Grade 1 supports telephone and TV with Cat 3 (again Cat
5e is recommended) and one RG6. Grade 2 supports telephone, TV, and high
speed data and multimedia with two Cat5 (5e recommended), and two
RG6. Cables should be run in a star configuration. Required
locations Kitchen, Bedrooms and the Family/Great Room. It is recommended
to also wire the Den/Study or Parlor and an alternate location for at least the
Master Bedroom.
